Hormones... the keyword in Women...

Are your hormones going crazy again?

Do you have PMS?

Are you changing?

And what is wrong with you dear Man? You too are going through the change, but for you it is called Andropause .

Whether woman or man...

Your hormones are responsible for numerous different metabolic processes.

Are you in a good or bad mood, are you tired or well-rested, do you feel motivated or listless - your hormones are behind many of your moods. They work unnoticed, but you can activate and control them.

The Hormone Cortisol is released primarily during stress. It activates metabolic processes in the body and has a dampening effect on the immune system.

The Hormone melatonin controls the day-night rhythm of the human body. Light inhibits the production of melatonin, but in the dark production increases again. This is why it is also called the sleep hormone. It influences our deep sleep phases and is therefore responsible for whether we sleep well and restfully.

The Hormone DEHA can help with chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, obesity and autoimmune diseases. Two of the most important hormones produced from DHEA are testosterone and estrogen. DHEA affects the psyche, the cardiovascular system, strengthens the immune system and can have a positive effect on libido. It can also compensate for falling estrogen levels during menopause. DHEA increases procollagen synthesis and prevents age-related collagen degradation and can therefore result in a younger appearance.

The Hormone testosterone is one of the most important sex hormones and has a variety of effects on the body in both men and women. Testosterone is responsible for the growth of bones and cartilage. Testosterone deficiency is the most common cause of osteoporosis in men. Even more important for bone density is estradiol, which is produced from testosterone in men. Testosterone promotes muscle growth and the development of red blood cells. It regulates body hair and promotes drive and motivation in the brain, but can also influence aggressive behavior.

The Hormone progesterone A deficiency can be the cause of many complaints in women. In the brain, progesterone influences our thinking and our mood and has a balancing and sleep-promoting effect. It promotes water excretion, progesterone inhibits bone loss and is also said to prevent the formation of wrinkles. A progesterone deficiency can also be the cause of joint problems. It regulates the rhythm of the cycle, relieves symptoms (including PMS) and increases fertility. Hot flashes or sleep disorders can be related to a lack of progesterone. Hashimoto's disease can also be triggered by a deficiency. Progesterone deficiency in men is a common cause of fatigue, burnout, concentration and sleep disorders and muscle pain.

The Hormone estradiol (Estradiol) - important for skin, hair and brain. Estradiol not only causes "disorders of well-being" such as hot flushes. If the level of estradiol is too low, sleep is disturbed and the brain and bones deteriorate more rapidly than is appropriate for the age. For decades, exogenous, i.e. artificially created estradiol and gestagen preparations have been used to treat postmenopausal complaints, often in high doses as exogenous substances with corresponding side effects. Contraceptive pills and hormonal IUDs are also just as dangerous to health because they do not use the body's own 17-b-estradiol and natural progesterone, but so-called gestagens.

This is a brief explanation for you of how important hormones are for our body. You may recognize yourself in one or more of these symptoms. Even with non-specific symptoms, the hormone status should always be taken into account.

In my practice, hormones are tested from saliva. You take the test home with you and after submitting your saliva samples, you send it to the laboratory. Depending on which and how many hormones we test, the hormone test costs between €40 and €180.

After receiving the test results, I will give you a therapy recommendation with bioidentical hormones.

Bioidentical hormones, also called body-identical or nature-identical hormones, are hormones whose molecular structures are completely identical to those produced by our own bodies. It is therefore impossible to distinguish between bioidentical and the corresponding natural hormones. The reason: They are metabolized in the body in the same way as the body's own hormones.

Where do these bioidentical hormones come from?

All bioidentical hormones in use today come from a plant source. They are synthesized from Mexican yam or soy.
